【Exhibition Exclusive Interview】SEMICON Taiwan 2024 – Creating a Dedicated Communication Platform to Strengthen Customer Trust

2024. Sep. 2732King One Design

SEMICON Taiwan Celebrates its 29th Edition. As the world's second-largest professional semiconductor exhibition, SEMICON Taiwan draws domestic and international companies every year to discuss industry trends and foster collaboration. This year's event, held from September 4 to 6 at Halls 1 and 2 of the TaiNEX, has reached a new record in scale. It gathers over 1,100 exhibitors across 3,700 booths and attracts more than 85,000 professionals from 56 countries. King One Design continues to take part in the exhibition, designing unique booths for several companies. The designs incorporate arc-shaped elements to create a balance of strength and vitality, while two-level booths enhance space utilization and elevate the sense of prestige.

King One Design conducted a special on-site interview, inviting two companies to share their thoughts on exhibition marketing and their experience collaborating with King One Design on booth design.

Exhibition: SEMICON Taiwan 2024

Companies: Kainova Tech, Third Enterprise

An Industry-Specific Communication Platform Focused on Customer Needs

Kainova Tech

Kainova Tech General Manager, Jun-Kai Huang

Q: What products and services does your company offer?

A: Kainova Tech is one of the few companies in Taiwan solely focused on the development and sales of front-end automation equipment for the semiconductor industry. Our products target the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly in micro-contamination prevention, automation, and wafer inspection. These are our areas of expertise. Our team has over 20 years of experience in technology development within this field, and we believe we can make significant contributions to Taiwan’s semiconductor industry.

Q: How many times has your company participated in SEMICON? Have you observed any trends in booth design or the industry?

A: Previously, we were an automation division under the FITI Group, primarily collaborating with large international equipment manufacturers, which made it unsuitable for us to exhibit. After founding Kainova Tech in 2019, we began developing our own brand. At that time, we planned for a roughly three-year strategy, and last year we officially started exhibiting. This year marks our second time participating in SEMICON.

We have observed that the scale of the exhibition expands year by year. The exhibition space has grown from two floors to four, indicating that Taiwan has gained a very important position in the global semiconductor industry. We are also very pleased to be a key player in this field.

Q: What key messages do you hope to convey to the audience through this exhibition?

A: First, we hope to present ourselves as a highly specialized company in the front-end semiconductor automation field. Secondly, we have two major products that are among the most innovative and unique in the industry. We aim to use this exhibition to help key clients in the industry better understand our brand.

The semiconductor industry is relatively closed and usually does not engage in extensive external promotion. Therefore, the image presented at the exhibition determines the first impression for clients.

Q: What are the reasons for your continued participation in exhibitions? Besides that, what other marketing channels, content, and methods do you use to engage with the public?

A: In our field, we serve a very specific clientele and typically do not advertise to the general public. Instead, we focus on cultivating specific channels. As for exhibitions, the semiconductor show is the only exhibition we participate in. Other platforms we utilize include LinkedIn, YouTube, and semiconductor-related media, which serve as our connection points to engage with our target customer groups.

Q: What are the reasons for choosing to collaborate with King One Design for brand marketing? What are the highlights of this collaboration for the exhibition?

A: We chose to collaborate with King One Design because their planning aligns with our company image and the message we want to convey. We are also very satisfied with the spacious and smooth flow of the booth layout, as well as the creative lighting design above.

Third Enterprise

Third Enterprise, Willy Hsu

Q: What products and services does your company offer?

A: Our company primarily focuses on electromechanical equipment. This year, we are showcasing power distribution panels, medium voltage compensation device, and voltage drop monitoring systems, which are common electromechanical equipment at semiconductor exhibitions.

Q: How many times has your company participated in SEMICON? What key messages do you hope to convey to the audience through this exhibition?

A: We have participated for seven consecutive years. Each year, our style and exhibition direction are defined by themes established by high-tech facilities, which inspire our design concepts. We also incorporate our electromechanical products and consider the important topics and trends of the year. Last year, we focused on ESG and green energy elements, while this year, we are inspired by AI and smart technology. Therefore, we aim for a clean design that showcases the quick and convenient nature of our products, emphasizing the quality and service we provide, which aligns with our core values of quality and service.

Q: What are the reasons for choosing to collaborate with King One Design for brand marketing? What are the highlights of this collaboration for the exhibition this year?

A: Last year was our first collaboration with King One Design, and through that process, they gained a better understanding of our ideas and company style. Therefore, we decided to work together again this year, hoping to plan more efficiently and continue this partnership based on these standards in the future.

We really like the design of the booth, particularly the curved and beveled elements. This construction method requires more complex techniques, which I believe aligns well with this year's theme of AI and smart technology.

Q: What kind of collaboration do you hope to have with King One Design in the future?

A: For the past two years, we have planned the space on the second floor. Next year or the year after, we may increase the number of booths, but we still hope to maintain a clean design that isn’t overly complex, which aligns better with the style of Third Enterprise.

Conclusion: Precisely grasp touchpoints, combining both soft and hard strengths.

King One Design has been planning exhibition booths for SEMICON exhibitors for many years. While meeting customer needs, they also pay attention to industry trends and exhibition themes each year, incorporating relevant elements into their designs to shape a brand image that evolves with the times. This year’s booth features curved lines, highlighting that although semiconductors are part of the technology industry, their smart development brings them closer to people’s lives.

The semiconductor industry is relatively closed in terms of marketing, with many companies opting for physical exhibitions to engage in face-to-face communication with customers. The booth serves as a crucial venue for establishing first impressions. Balancing brand strength with customer relationship management is where King One Design excels, leveraging their expertise to support these efforts.
